Black on Black
What is the easiest color that all can wear with no doubt, hesitation, or second thoughts? That color would be black. The color may be easiest to wear, but your look still matters on how you arrange your pieces to make a statement or expressing yourself. Although it is simply one color, there are innumerable possibilities of arranging black on black.
In this first look, Wendy Nguyen is wearing a Sashion dress, shoes by Miu Miu, bag by Celilne, tights by Falke, Celine glasses, and a Brandy Pham ring. The different textures she prepared for this outfit adds fun to her look. It is chic, classy, and cozy.
In this second look, Rumi Neely is wearing a dress by her own clothing line, AreYouAmI. The Mala dress has thick satin ribbon straps which accentuates her slender arms and petite shoulders. She accessorizes with a gold bracelet and a ribbon choker which matches with her thick satin ribbon straps. A wonderful and subtle way of creating black on black.
Third, we have Aimee Song wearing Mason by Michelle Mason Long Sleeve Lace Top, a peplum lace skirt (also by Mason by Michelle Mason), Valentino Love Latch Flats, and a Chloe Hudson Bag. The delicate lace in Aimee’s look is stunning, sexy, and feminine. Although the textures and style of the outfit is elegant, the black on black gives an elusive and edgy feel.

Here’s my black on black outfit that was worn at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I’m wearing a Lace For Love and Lemons top, shorts with a transparent skirt, and combat boots by Aldo. This look is light, sexy, mysterious, and ethereal. It is a bold statement that somehow expresses a sense of chic and grace. I left it simple with no accessories and did my hair in simple ponytail to put more emphasis on my shoulders and neckline.
